A little about me

My background is unique amongst life coaches. I do not have a corporate 'upbringing', and instead come from molecular biology research, emergency medicine, mountain search and rescue, and extreme sports. Four years ago, I decided to shift from medicine and research into the mental health space, which is why you’re now reading my bio as a life coach. I am so grateful I listened to that part of me telling me I needed a change because now my work is full of passion and impact. My background plays a strong role in my skill as a coach, particularly in my robust understanding of the brain and the nervous system. With this, I help my clients understand and influence their own unique stress responses. Even more importantly, my background has given me a sense of awe, reverence, and respect for life, which strongly permeates my coaching practice and philosophy.

For the last three years, I've worked with the worlds largest coaching startup company, BetterUp. I've risen to become one of their top-ranked coaches, specializing in enhancing client self-awareness. I am an Associate Certified Life Coach through the International Coaching Federation, co-founder of JourneyOn LLC, and co-author of the LifeProof Relationship perspective. After nearly 1800 total one-on-one sessions and more than 120 clients in just the last year alone, I have gotten clear on the impact I can have as your coach. I will help you strengthen and deepen your understanding of yourself so you can lean into your challenges and embrace the personal evolution that's waiting for you throughout the journey. Working with me is a lot of fun, and I truly can't wait to meet you.

I believe you are the expert in you (no one knows you and your life better than you) and I am the expert in the coaching process where I bring in my life experience and wisdom of 35+ years being a spouse and mother, a leader and a business owner.

Coaching with me looks like a jazz riff that has different tempos where it slows down and speeds up naturally. We check in, then settle into the first phase of the session which is getting clear on what you really want to work on. This may take a while. You may go directly to a prior focus area from previous coaching sessions for your own accountability - and that is great - AND, I always meet you where you are in every session. I offer my presence and deep listening. I notice nuances by asking about the meaning of words, the source of beliefs, where you may feel tension in your body and what might be motivating you. We get to the heart of what you really want and how you will know when you are there. Then we go into the next phase which might include the discovery of blocks, how you might release them, identifying resources you have available to you, and even role playing for practice in difficult conversations. Learning and discovery happen naturally in our client-led coaching. We close our session with reflection and commitment of next steps towards your desired outcome.

I measure my success as a coach by your clarity, discoveries, growth and overall experience.

I bring over 2500 hours of coaching into our sessions. I hold a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I am also certified in Emotional Intelligence, Conversational Intelligence, Internal Family Systems (level 1), and most recently as a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through Tara Brach and Jack Cornfield's program. I will be applying for the Master Certified Coach, the ICF's highest credential this year.

I am a huge proponent of OPTING IN to living life FULLY with relationships, life-long learning, growth, and integration as cornerstones. I hope to journey with you on your life path!

A little about Jeanne Marie

Jeanne Marie Mudd is an executive, team and life coach as well as a public minister.

For over 35 years she has worked with people in wellness retreats such as Canyon Ranch, has led initiatives in health care, education, public health, government, faith communities and philanthropy across the world. Along with her husband Daniel, Jeanne Marie serves as coordinator of the North American Light Network.

She engages in activities like creating land trusts, organizing neighborhood cleanups, composting green waste, and removing buffle grass and salt cedar and has been walking in the wilderness as a spiritual activity throughout her life

Jeanne Marie holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, as well as Master of Divinity, and has certifications in executive and team coaching, meditation, sound healing, and mediation, as well as Courage and Renewal Retreat facilitation.
